Abstract

With the rapid development of the digital economy, undergraduate students require not only financial knowledge but also opportunities to apply this knowledge in realistic contexts and develop entrepreneurial readiness. However, conventional learning approaches often emphasize knowledge acquisition without sufficiently fostering behavioral change or preparing students to apply their knowledge in practice. To address this gap, this study developed and evaluated EconoVerse, an Android-based seamless mobile learning instructional medium developed to support transformative financial literacy and entrepreneurial readiness among undergraduate students. A quasi?experimental one-group pretest–posttest design was employed with 60 undergraduate Management and Marketing students. The instructional medium was developed using a research and development (R&D) approach based on the 4D model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). Data were collected through expert validation, black-box testing, practicality questionnaires, and pretest–posttest instruments. The construct validity, internal consistency, and interwaser reliability of the measurement instruments were evaluated using confirmatory exploratory factor analysis (EFA), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and Cronbach’s alpha, respectively. Effectiveness was assessed using paired?sample t-tests. Expert validation indicated that the content, media, and instructional design of EconoVerse were acceptable, with average scores exceeding 90%. Black-box testing confirmed that all system features functioned as intended across all test scenarios. The practicality assessment yielded a usability score of 91.86%, indicating that the system was easy to learn and applicable to students’ learning needs. The effectiveness analysis demonstrated significant improvements in both transformative financial literacy (t = 11.26, p < 0.001) and entrepreneurial readiness (t = 11.25, p < 0.001). These findings indicate that EconoVerse is a valid, feasible, and efficient instructional tool for enhancing transformative financial literacy and entrepreneurial readiness among undergraduate students in the digital age.
